Brann Bronzebeard

Brann Bronzebeard is the youngest of the three Bronzebeard brothers, with King Magni Bronzebeard and Muradin Bronzebeard being his elders. Brann is an active member and founder of the Explorers’ League, following closely in the footsteps of his brother Muradin.

His brother Magni has been seen in the world of Hearthstone as the first alternate hero for Warrior. Brann himself made his appearance in the League of Explorers expansion, taking players on a journey to escape Gnoll caverns that ends with a climactic minecart chase.

Playing Brann

Brann-Bronzebeard Brann is a fairly powerful card. It passes the vanilla test, holding 6 points of stats for 3 points of mana. Additionally, its 2/4 distribution makes it hardy enough to survive most board clear and powerful enough to take down most aggro minions.

His ability is where Brann really shines. From doubling your C’thun damage to allowing Mill Rouge to gain extra use from their Coldlight Oracles, Brann has created the space for new strategies to emerge which were once unavailable to Hearthstone players.

Brann’s Friends

There are three main decktypes in which Brann is commonly run: Handlock/Renolock, C’thun, and Mill Rogue.

Handlock and its more recent variant Renolock use Brann, especially in wild, to boost their Battlecries, buffing their minions with Shieldbearer of Argus and restoring large amounts of health with Healbot.

Old God decks use Brann to boost powerful battlecries, especially Yogg-Saron and C’thun. Using a Thaurissan tick, Brann will be launched out to allow the ultimate combo using the tentacled monsters.

Finally, Brann Bronzebeard shows up in Mill Rogue to boost the card draw provide by Coldlight Oracles. Watch out for him, as that means it’s time for some serious mill!

Overall, Brann Bronzebeard is a strong, storied card that definitely sees play in Hearthstone and will continue to do so.
