Patch 5.14, the HUD Update.

-841

So the new update is on it’s way, and one of the most exciting things is the new HUD that Riot has been fixing and tweaking for the past little while on the PBE servers. Other than the new HUD there are some other things that look pretty cool. Some of the others things being released in the update are new chroma packs for Nasus, Bard, and Karthus, reworks for Gangplank and Miss Fortune, skins for Graves, Aatrox, Quinn, Garen, Twisted Fate, and Miss Fortune, and of course some tweaks and changes to some champions. So Riot has been working on quite a few things. And not only that but there are also new ward skins, summoner icons, and of course the new map. There are many cool things that have gone into this update that have made it worth the wait, and it is said that the update will be released very soon.

With the new HUD out, there are a few things that are going to be new to many players. First, you are now able to see your allies’ mana bar. This used to be possible but was taken out. And since so many people asked for it to be added back in, Riot figured why not. I have seen the new HUD and played with it and it will take some getting used to, but I can guarantee you that you will like it. It is definitely more “advanced”, but it does have a way cleaner look, and Riot placed things where they thought belonged. For example the items and your champion picture, all of the stuff along the bottom of the screen before is now added together, making it easier to find. Also not only the mana bar for your allies but before there were only green circles to show when your allies had their ults up, now there are actually little timers so you and your team can decide when a fight may or may not be worth it. Teammate summoner spell timers were added so you are able to see if your adc has heal or if your teammates have flash when initiating a fight. There are so many cool things that will make the game so much easier to play. As for the score and kills, they have also been moved, they are now by the minimap. So the HUD looks very different but it is sure to please everyone once you get used to it. I know I left a few things out when explaining so here’s a picture:
