Esports Edition is seeking someone who is as passionate about Overwatch as we are! As an Overwatch Community Journalist, we expect you to know how a hero change could affect the meta and its respective community before everyone else. You’d need to speak on behalf of the Overwatch communities. How excited is everyone for Overwatch League? How did the community feel about how Blizzard handled Halloween skins? Anything from the perspective of casual to pro players, we need their opinions!
Responsibilities
- Contribute between 2-3 quality articles per week
- Upload your articles into our WordPress CMS
- Maintain the highest level of awareness of the Overwatch communities
- Maintain your personal highest level of quality with each and every article
- Follow the weekly content schedule and ensure articles are delivered on time
- Attend quick syncs with the content team as necessary
- Become part of our team by taking time to communicate and meet the rest of our team
- Work with our Editor to adjust articles as needed and developing your writing abilities
Required Qualifications
- Excellent English (Written & Spoken)
- Well-spoken with superior written communication skills
- Experience working with WordPress
- Previous Writing Experience
Nice to Have
- Understanding of SEO/SEMVideo/Photo Editing Capabilities
- Social Media Presence
- Established network with esports professionals and communities.
Compensation
This is a freelance position and our writers are paid on a per word basis.
